Zombicide: Black Plague on Kickstarter
Update 15/02/2016: You can now Buy Zombicide Black Plague if you missed out on the Kickstarter!
Update 27/08/2015: CMON has shared some photos of the final plastic production samples for some of the miniatures. The quality looks excellent and the details on the miniatures are very sharp. Can’t wait to see this in the flesh. Check them out!
Update 07/07/2015: The Campaign has ended with all Stretch Goals unlocked including the $4 million Abominarat! There is a late pledge option available for a limited time, just in case you missed the project.
The Zombicide: Black Plague project is now live on Kickstarter. The project also includes the Wulfsburg expansion, but more on that a bit later. The project got funded in a mere 16 minutes! In Black Plague the survivors battle a horde of zombies in a new fantasy setting. For those unfamiliar with the Zombicide franchise – it is a cooperative board game for 1 to 6 players against the game controlled horde of zombies. Players find weapons, learn spells, battle zombies, and gain experience, but remember that the game scales according to the players experience. So as you get stronger the Zombie horde increases in size and get more relentless to match your new found prowess.
The ultimate zombie boardgame, reinvented in a medieval fantasy setting! New survivors, new zombies, new equipment, and revamped rules!
- 9 double-sided game tiles
- 71 miniatures
- 6 survivor plastic dashboards, color bases, and ID Cards
- 48 plastic trackers
- 6 dice
- 125 cards
- 63 tokens
- 1 Rulebook
I really like the addition of the new plastic dashboards for the survivors. These have been designed to take the cards with card sleeves in mind, and really makes keeping track of your survivor a breeze! The standard game is pledged at $100. If you haven’t already then go make your pledge here!
A number of stretch goals have already been achieved, with many more to follow. The pick for me of the unlocked goals so far has to be the Abominotaur! It really is a monster of a miniature and I can’t wait to see it in the flesh.
More Survivors Unlocked
Ash Troy from evil dead makes a return! So glad to see him there. These survivors are all a Kickstarter exclusive, so don’t miss out and go pledge.
Meet the $2 million stretch goal – The Ablobination! Looks awesome and can’t wait to see more!
The $2,225 million stretch goal has just been revealed. The Abominalpha is a cross over with Wrath of Kings, another game from CMON. This one looks ready to pounce with those huge claws!
The $3 million stretch goal is a huge one – the Abominatroll! This is massive model, check out the size comparison with an abomination from Zombicide Season 2.
Abominarat $4 million SG

The Wulfsburg expansion adds four new heroes and packs of ravenous zombie wolves and a new hulking Wolf-Bomination. It can be picked with the Black Plague game for a $150 pledge – so $50 for the expansion. The expansion shakes things up a little with new monster abilities and 2 new game tiles which represent Towers in which the survivors can climb to rain down attacks on the unrelenting horde.
Here’s what you get:
- 2 double-sided game tiles
- 22 zombie wolf miniatures
- 4 survivor miniatures and ID cards
- 4 plastic dashboards and color bases
- 32 plastic trackers
- 30 cards
- 1 Rulebook
Knight Level Pledge
The smart money will be going to the Knight Level Pledge which gives you both Black Plague and the Wulfsburg Expansion. Checkout everything you get below:
Check out Scowl and Grinn
Scowl and Grinn are both KS exclusive unlocked for Knight Level Pledges. These two are obviously inspired by Batman and the Joker, and the sculpts look great.
Meet the Doctor
Check out Doctor Stormcrow a Kickstarter Exclusive Survivor for Knight-level pledges only.
A Must Buy Optional Buy
Meet the Deadeye Walkers! These new minions are able to dish out damage from afar and will definitely add a new level of challenge to the game. You can buy these for $22 as an optional buy, but these are kinda insta-buy for me because of the new element they add to the game.
Special Guest Star Boxes
As the name suggests a bunch of well known artists have characters from their work included as special guest stars for the game. These cost $20 and can be added to your pledge and there are some really cool looking characters available.
Paul Bonner Special Guest Box
I must say that the quality of the miniatures look really good and far above what I would expect from a standard board game. Add in all the extras unlocked through the stretch goals and really don’t think you can go wrong with backing this one.
