Halo Fleet Battles: The Fall of Reach Arriving the 20th of July
Halo Fleet Battles is new miniature game from Spartan Games. The first set Halo: Fleet Battles, The Fall of Reach is a two player battle box and will be available from the 20th of July. It will cost £80 and can be pre-ordered here.
Halo: Fleet Battles delivers an easy to learn, lore-infused, tactically-rich gaming experience that appeals both to experienced wargamers and fans of the Halo Universe.
The Fall of Reach is a two player battle box which allows players to engage space battles between the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the Covenant. The starter box is set in the Human-Covenant War, where the fleets battle for the fortified human colony of Reach. Close attention has been paid to the lore of Halo to ensure an accurate depiction of the events that transpire.
Being Spartan I believe the game will borrow from Firestorm Armada (which in my opinion is a good thing). The exploding dice mechanic has been confirmed for Halo Fleet Battles although there will be a cap on the number of rolls you can get. Larger ships will also be divided into multiple sections making for more strategic options in attacking the vessels. At first glance this all sounds rather promising, and it’s always nice to see more high detailed ships make their way to the tabletop. So you had better check this one out if you are a fan of Halo or space battles on the tabletop.

Whats To Come
Spartan and 343 Industries plan to support the game through tournaments, online scenarios, and more campaign guides. Terrain is also being designed for the game. And I’m sure the fleets will be expanded both in models and with new factions if the game proves successful.
