The Kataphron Battle Servitors are up for pre-order from Games Workshop today and will be released on the 23rd of May. The new multi-part plastic kit enables you to make two variants,  the Kataphron Breachers and the Kataphron Destroyers and form part of the Cult Mechanicus. The kit allows you to build three Kataphron Battle Servitors and cost £35. Here is a video showing off the new miniatures.

I really like the look of these. The models are packed with detail and the menacing look suits them well. First up we have the Kataphron Destroyers. These armed to the teeth with range weapons. Their options include –  plasma culverin assemblies, heavy grav cannon assemblies, phosphor blaster assemblies and cognis flamer assemblies. Take your pick! From the rumours these guys have a lower armor save than the breachers but are able to ignore cover when shooting.

Next up are the Kataphron Breachers. As the name suggest these are for smashing up stuff close range.  The kit has optional armour and mud guards for Breachers, to show their better armour. Their weapon options include arc rifles, torsion cannons, arc claws and hydraulic claws. These should be more than enough to smash any unit, foolish enough to come close, to bits.
