Leviathan Pattern Siege Dreadnought Spotted
Check out the Leviathan pattern Siege Dreadnought from Forge World. Developed in secret on Terra and created in limited numbers in the final days of the Great Crusade, the Leviathan pattern uses hybrid technology from the long forgotten past of humanity.
Towering over later Imperial walker patterns, this heavily armoured dreadnought is savagely powerful.
Leviathan Pattern Siege Dreadnought
As the name suggests the dreadnought excels at siege warfare and can be armed with powerful close combat and short range weaponry. It has a huge reactor which enables it to carry more powerful weapons and more effective energy fields that the Contemptor class dreadnoughts. Pilots of the Leviathan class however pay a steep price for the additional power which often costs them their life or reason, and as such these machines are only used in the most dire of circumstances.
The Leviathan pattern Siege Dreadnought is available as single body kit, with a host of weapon options that can be bought separately or as bundles with weapon arms included. The base kit costs £46 and the bundles £72, with single weapons costing £13. The base kit includes optional heavy flamers, volkite calivers and a Phospex discharger and comes with a 80mm base. Weapon arm options include the Siege Claw, Siege Drill, Storm Cannon and Grax Flux Bombard. You can order the kit here and get the rules here. It can be used in Space Marines, Space Wolves, Dark Angels and Blood Angels armies for 40K and in the Legion Astartes Crusade Army list. I wouldn’t mind a size comparison photo to just just how bulky this new kit is. Overall I like it and the rules seem rather interesting with the linger effect on some of the weapons.
