Salutations everyone

Firstly I need to apologise for the compete lack of updates for the past couple of weeks, but I hope to change things with this post.

Lets jump right into it shall we.

That’s right the long awaited flyers are finally confirmed and pictures have been leaked. As you can see from the pictures we are getting a space marine stormtalon, orc fighta bomber, and the necron Doomscythe/Nightscythe. The rules for the stormtalon and fighta bomber will be given out in the new White Dwarf and they will be official, which means you can use them in your normal games! NEW 40K EDITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok sure its not 100% confirmed but the number of rumours flying around suggest that we can be expecting the long awaited 6th edition for 40k. Don’t quote me on it but there is a huge following that claims the new rules will be out 10 June. How do I feel about that? New rules is something of a double edged sword for me, on the upside I feel that there was alot wrong with 5th edition which is dying to be fixed (im looking at you pg21), but I also consider myself to be a savvy player and having to conquer new rules seems daunting although im sure it shouldn’t be to difficult to pick it up. My biggest problem with the emergence of a new rule book is how it will affect the fairly large group of newer players at our club who are either still learning the 5th edition rules or have only recently made sense of it.

It is for this last reason that I have decided to hold back on the whole 40k Bootcamp where I want to teach said newer players the finer points of the game. On the upside as soon as I can get hold of the rules I will be holding a workshop to help the move from 5th edition to 6th, not there is any rush or anything.

So with the news out the way lets talk about you. What do you want form the club? What do you want from me? I have sort of fallen off the radar partly because of exams but also because feedback is slim, give me suggestions!

So that is pretty much it. I am planning on moving away from sending out emails and relying more heavily on the blog, it’s there, it’s awesome, we should be using it more often. Its also far less messy and easy to keep track of past announcements. Love to hear your thoughts on this.
